Region of Abruzzo

Dominated by the prolific Apennine mountain range, the hinterland of Abruzzo forms one of Italy's last wildernesses. Parts of Abruzzo are covered in endless tracts of forest. Along with Molise, Abruzzo are sparsely populated, quiet places where the wild landscape exerts a strong influence. With Molise Abruzzo is closely connected because since few years ago they consisted a region together Abruzzi e Molise.
